Ãtriers and Concours dâétriers: two carrés and two distinct styles dialogue in this composition based on designs by Françoise de la Perrière and Virginie Jamin. Both designers have tackled the same subject at different times, selecting the finest, most striking stirrups from around the world â 18th, 19th and 20th-century equestrian motifs par excellence â from the collection of Emile Hermès. Plain and understated or richly decorative, each piece is perfectly adapted to its function, and this is the key to their perfection. The centre of the composition features a circle cut from the original carré design by Françoise de la Perrière.
